The concert stage will be filled to the brim with musicians for this season finale concert as the Elgin Symphony Orchestra presents a concert full of joy and sound! ESO Music Director, Andrew Grams will first conduct Mahler’s Totenfeier – a conflicted piece with one dynamic being a heavy death processional and the other, a serene and sweet call to nature. Grams, the ESO, and the newly named Elgin Master Chorale (formerly the Elgin Choral Union) will finish with an audience favorite, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. But, with the Gustav Mahler arrangement, you’ll experience an even more powerful and momentous sound.
